Education Committee – Sandy congratulated people that passed the either the CAPP or CAPA during the Fall window and that the next window would be in the Spring of 2007.

2007 IAPP Forum Update – Dennis Fields, chairperson of the 2007 IAPP Forum Welcoming Committee, stated that the committee had been conducting a phone conference call on a monthly basis thanks to Freeman allowing the group to use their conference call number and ID.  Dennis stated that the committee had decided for all of the Texas members to wear jeans, a white shirt with a red bandana on Sunday to identify anyone from Texas .  Several companies have already donated items for the “Welcome to Texas ” goody bags, but need more items.  Sandy Champion mentioned that Sally Beauty has donated 2,000 hair treatment kits, Sabre has donated 2 round trip American Airlines tickets, a Texas Flag that has flown over the State Capitol, list of Texas sayings and other items.  She has contacted Keep Texas Beautiful to see if we could get 2,000 Don’t Mess with Texas liter bags to put everything in.  Dennis stated that Kofax is still willing to provide support.  April 21st has been designated the day to put the gift baskets to be given away at the forum together and fill the goody bags!  After the meeting, Carrie Chambers reported that $543.30 has been collected to go towards the welcoming.
